Come energize, explore and evolve in Portland, Oregon during AALL’s Annual Meeting July 12-15, 2008. Attend quality programs, mingle with colleagues at social events and see what’s new at the exhibit hall. But don’t stop there! Give yourself some extra time to discover the wonders of Portland and the natural beauty of Oregon.
Portland is a vibrant small city with a decidedly European feel, filled with outdoor markets, parks, museums, walking, hiking and biking trails, intriguing art and music and plenty of opportunities to shop, eat and drink locally. The wildly lovely Oregon Coast is but a 90 minute drive to the West and majestic Mt. Hood is 90 minutes to the East. A free afternoon could find you visiting either the scenic Columbia River Gorge or the wine country of the Willamette Valley, both reached within a 45 minute drive from Portland.
