Lung Association stops bid to control tribal casino smoking in Oregon
October 7th, 2009
The American Lung Association of Oregon has dropped an effort to force tribal casinos to ban smoking.
An attorney wrote Gov. Ted Kulongoski (D) on behalf of the group last month to push for the ban. But the group now says it will not be represented by John DiLorenzo.
DiLorenzo’s law firm represents the Oregon Restaurant Association, whose members are subject to the indoor smoking ban and think the tribal casinos have an unfair advantage.
