Hoopa Tribal AmeriCorps program

The Hoopa Tribal Civilian Community Corps is now currently accepting 30 Native Americans from anywhere in the United States to work in its AmeriCorps 9 month Residential Program starting on October 3, 2007.
Hoopa TCCC is a tribal residential national service program for young Native men and women. The Tribe is located in Hoopa Ca.  (Northern Rural California). The program is now accepting applications for the 2007-08 class.
TCCC offers a variety of real life experiences.  Corps members will become active participants and members of the Hoopa Valley community.  They will travel and learn to adapt to other life styles, creating positive change in the communities they serve. Corps members will be assigned to work with team of 10-15 other CM’s. Â

i think your program is cool and adventure and really exept sure of your rez and my is n.mex of navajo nation and met some good folk on americorp conference in reno, nv. laterjojojo

Is Hoopa still operating its AmeriCorps program? If so, what is its success rate? I’d like some more information on how it was incorporated into the tribe as a program. Our Nation is in need of volunteers or rather programs that would establish volunteers to aide in projects.
