New Legal Technology Blog

August 30th, 2006

Ross Ipsa Loquitur

Acclaimed legal technology guru Ross Kodner has joined the blogging world with Ross Ipsa Loquitur. The blog provides a place for Kodner and colleagues to share their thoughts on [inhale]:

“Law practice management and technology issues, product reviews, latest articles and CLE materials… [u]pdates, corporate legal department technology, mobility lawyering, Paper LESS Office(tm) developments, case/practice management system comments/tips/ideas, document management, legal billing, interesting utilities, product announcements, [...] a place to find out what’s happening at MicroLaw.”

[exhale]

Seems quite a bit to tackle, yet already Ross Ipsa Loquitur has posts on everything from iPods to the desktop/laptop debate to fave gadgets to cameras to pda to servers to, well, you get the picture. Great stuff if you enjoy legal technology or just need to learn enough to make educated decisions about technology in your life or practice.

Tips for 1Ls

August 25th, 2006

Here are sources for a few other tips and hard-learned lessons that might come in helpful the next few days, weeks and months:

Lest you 2Ls feel neglected, please enjoy Advice for Rising 2L’s, from the excellent 3L Epiphany.

Finally, don’t forget two of our local favorites: (1) please feel free to rely on your local law librarian for help, a good ear, and where to find a good bike, microbrew, or park; and (2) be sure to take time for yourself and your family.
