Current Index To Legal Periodicals (CILP)

The Current Index to Legal Periodicals (CILP) provides timely access to over 500 legal publications. Published weekly by the UW Law Library, this current awareness tool presents citations to legal articles by subject, along with the tables of contents of all journals indexed by CILP. Direct links to the full text of articles are included for publications available on LexisNexis and Westlaw.

The faculty of Lewis & Clark Law School have two options for access the Current Index to Legal Periodicals: CILP on the Web, or SmartCILP via Email.

CILP

The Law Library posts the most recent Current Index every week on our CILP page. Citations are grouped by legal subject or by journal tables of contents, and include links to the full-text on LexisNexis and Westlaw. L&C Email username/password required from off-campus

SmartCILP

SmartCILP is a service that provides automated personalized delivery of only the portions of CILP of interest to you. You set up a SmartCILP profile by choosing the broad topic headings, individual legal subjects, and journal tables of contents you wish to receive.

After setting up a SmartCILP profile, you will receive an e-mail message each week that includes a list of articles that matches the interest profile you set up. This e-mail message is clearly marked as "SmartCILP" to allow easy identification. SmartCILP profiles can be changed each week, allowing you to tailor the delivery of CILP to your changing research needs.

Also, SmartCILP now provides links to the articles on LexisNexis and Westlaw.

Please go to our Faculty SmartCILP page to set up your SmartCILP profile or to change an existing one. A faculty L&C Law Email username/password is required for access to our SmartCILP page.
