This podcast is the first of a five panel series on farm worker law jointly sponsored by the Latino Law Society, Environmental Justice Advocates, and the National Lawyers Guild.

The panel includes:
Laurie Hoefer, attorney with the Legal Aid Farmworker program
Valentin Sanchez, outreach coordinator for the Oregon Law Center Farmworker program
Dona Hippert, president of the Oregon Toxics Alliance
Logan Perkins, a 1L student at Lewis & Clark Law School

The panel will discuss the types of pesticides applied by farmers, the effects these pesticides have on the farmworkers and the environment, and the training (or lack of) that the farmworkers receive about the pesticides that they apply to crops.

The program was held at Lewis & Clark Law School in Portland, Oregon on October 22nd, 2009.
