In this podcast, Micah Steinhilb, Morgan Wyenn, and Misty Fedoroff talk about the advantages of being a member of law review. Students at Lewis and Clark are fortunate because there are three excellent law reviews. Lewis & Clark Law Review, Environmental Law, and Animal Law each provide different experiences and environments. Learning about their similarities and differences will help you choose which is best for you. They discuss the differences and similarities of the three journals and the process of becoming a member.

What are the benefits of becoming a member of a law review?

→ Develop critical analysis skills through the source-check and editing of top-notch legal scholarship.

→ Gain a greater familiarity with the law library and various sources of law. This will make legal research in practice much easier.

→ Enhance your legal research, writing, editing, and citation skills. These skills will distinguish you from other law students and practitioners.

→ Gain greater insight into a variety of legal issues and topics.

→ Build your resume. The above skills are attractive to potential employers. Additionally, they also often look highly upon law review staff because law review participation shows a high level of commitment to improving your writing skills and creating a product that is valuable to the greater legal community.
