Boley Website Upgrades to the Mobile Web

The Boley Law Library has used the extended warm weather to upgrade our site to a new modern look with behind the scenes functionality that will help us server you better. The new site, http://lawlib.lclark.edu, seeks to provide ready access to all of the same great  print and online legal information sources of the Law Library, lectures and events webcasts, and online reference help that you know and use. Only better.

Being mobile friendly was one of our primary goals in developing the new site. Or perhaps "device agnostic" is the better description. This site was built from the ground up to work perfectly on mobile devices and small screen displays. We know that over time that’s how most of you will be using our site. So our developer Jeff Allman toiled long and hard making sure this site would adopt to your devices, not the other way around.

The site is designed using the methods of Responsive Web Design, which can best be described as “One site for every screen.” Unlike many websites, we do not need to create multiple mobile versions or apps to get you the info you need. Rather, we create one site that is designed to adapt to the size device you have. Give it a try on your phone or iPad and let us know how it worked for you.
