ORIENTATION TO THE LAW LIBRARY

Wendy Schroeder Hitchcock, Reference Librarian, will show you:

  • how to find the library materials you need by using the library catalog and the library web page
  • how to supplement your studies with outlines, nutshells, and other study aids
  • how to get started with legal research

Library Closed for Labor Day, Open Saturday and Sunday

August 31st, 2005

The Boley Law Library will be closed on Labor Day, Monday September 5. We will be open regular hours on Saturday & Sunday, Sept. 4 -5, and reopen on Tuesday at 7am.

Fall Semester Hours Beginning August 29th

Our fall semester hours will begin on August 29th. On August 27th and 28th, the weekend before the first day of classes, the Law Library will be open for extended hours.

All Your Computer and Wireless Questions Answered

Starting the new year with computer or network questions? Lewis & Clark Law School Computing Services has the answers.

For example:

  • Need to connect your computer to the law school’s network – wireless or with a network cable? No problem! Just stop by the Lab Help Desk located in the Wood Hall computer labs. Computer lab staff can help set up your wireless & network cards, install Law School printer drivers, update your operating system & anti-virus software for network access, and install the Law School network software.
  • Got email? All students have a Lewis & Clark email account. New students can go here to set up their email account online. Students can forward their L&C email accounts and change passwords here. Forgot or lost your password? No problem. New this year: reset your password via this handy online form.
  • Care to use the computer labs? Head on over to the Wood Hall computer labs. New students can log in to our lab computers using their student ID numbers. You can change your login via the icon on any lab computer. Questions? Help is available at the computer lab help desk.

The Current Index to Legal Periodicals (CILP) provides timely access to over 500 legal publications. Published weekly, this current awareness tool presents citations to legal articles by subject, along with the tables of contents of all journals indexed by CILP. Direct links to the full text of articles are included for publications available on LexisNexis and Westlaw.

Summer Interim Hours for August
