Food for Fines

April 13th, 2006

Have fines? Then bring in non-perishable food – or pet food for the Humane Society – equivalent to the value of your fines and the fines will be waived.

Our Food for Fines program runs April 17 – May 17, 2006. Bring all food to the circulation desk of the law library and your fines will disappear. Not sure of the need? You can check your library record online for any accrued fines.

Casemaker Now Available to L&C Law Students

April 12th, 2006

Casemaker, the comprehensive legal research database provided to all members of the Oregon Bar, is now available to Lewis & Clark Law School students and staff.

The Casemaker library provides primary and secondary legal research resources from the U.S. federal government and 28 states, along with the Casecheck citator service. All materials may be searched by full-text keyword, browsed by title, or retrieved by citation.

Unlike Westlaw or LexisNexis, students are welcome to use Casemaker for their legal work in addition to law school-related projects. Plus, student use of Casemaker is not limited during the summer.

The Oregon State Bar has provided a generic login and password for members of the Lewis & Clark Law School community.

For more information and to access Casemaker check out our Casemaker page. Follow the link to the L&C Law School Casemaker login page – you’ll need your current L&C email username and password to retrieve the school’s Casemaker login and password.

And, as always, stop by the reference desk with questions or for assistance with Casemaker.
