Library Closed for Labor Day

August 31st, 2006

The Law Library, like the rest of Lewis & Clark Law School, will be observing the Labor Day Holiday and will be closed on Monday, September 4.

Any reserve items may be checked out before the library closes on Sunday, September 3 (remember: we’re closing early) and returned the morning of Tuesday, September 5.

The Watzek Library will be opened on Monday from 10 am – 5 pm. Check out the full Watzek Library schedule and, as always, the Boley Library hours are here.

Have a great Labor Day!

Construction Update: Library Closing Early September 3rd

August 31st, 2006

We are almost finished with our summer/early-fall construction project. Our handsome new beams are installed, the books are on their shelves, and the reading room has reopened.

One last task awaits – finishing the floor in the lobby between the circulation and reference desks.

On Sunday, September 3, we will be closing at 6:00pm instead of the usual midnight hour for the finishing work. The concrete around the post will be sanded and another thin layer poured so that it can be stained on Monday. There looks to be noise, noise, noise (and dust, dust dust) while the sanding is going on. Thus, the Law Library will be closed.

Wood Hall will remain open until Midnight. However, it may yet be noisy in Wood Hall even with the doors to Boley closed.

Thanks again for your patience. We expect the construction to soon be a faded-yet-fond memory, and our roof to remain standing for many a year more.

The Watzek Library remains a fine study possibility. Check out the Watzek Library hours and, as always, the Boley Library hours here.
