Free CLEs for the LC Law Community: Guide

Guide to free CLEs for members of the Lewis & Clark Law School community.

Introduction

Looking for free CLE? The following resources are available at no cost to members of the Lewis & Clark Law School community

Please note: not all of these have been pre-accredited with the Oregon State Bar. See the OSB Minimum Continuing Legal Education site, including the Program Database, and Rules for all MCLE credit information.

Resources for Free CLE to the LC Law Community

1. West LegalEdcenter

Through the West LegalEdcenter (hey, we don't name 'em, we just link 'em), we have access to free CLE provided by West LegalEdcenter and by The Rutter Group. Many of the West LegalEdcenter CLEs are pre-accredited by the OSB.

Signing up can be a bit perplexing, so we have created this step-by-step guide. Once in you can narrow your selections to CLE pre-accredited by state.

2. Bloomberg Next

Bloomberg Law provides a number of free CLE on their Bloomberg Next platform. You'll need to create a login even if you do have a Bloomberg Law password, but once logged in access is easy. Just go to Bloomberg Next, login or create your login, then click the 'Catalog' tab.

3. Oregon Professional Liability Fund

The Oregon Professional Liability Fund (PLF) provides a large number of past-CLE for free or low cost to OSB members. Find them on the PLF CLE site. Be sure to login with your OSB credentials.

4. County Law Libraries: DVDs and CDs

Finally, all of the area's county law libraries (Clackamas, Multnomah, Washington) purchase DVDs and CDs of Oregon State Bar and other CLE programs. These materials are made available to attorneys for use on-site or via checkout. Contact the libraries for details.
