Public Access to Specialized Legal Databases
The following databases are available to the public for use on the public computers located in the Boley Atrium.
Please note: off-campus access is not available for members of the public with the exception of Fastcase. Fastcase is available for free to all Oregonians through the State of Oregon Law Library (SOLL). In addition to Fastcase, SOLL provides free access to BarBooks and to Nolo Reference Guides. Contact the SOLL directly for access to these resources.
Lexis and Westlaw access is available at local public law libraries; in addition, Multnomah Law Library provides access to Bloomberg Law.

- ClimateWire This link opens in a new windowClimateWire is a daily publication focusing on global climate policy, science, energy and market issues.
- E&E Daily This link opens in a new windowFrom federal agency appropriations to comprehensive energy legislation, E&E Daily is the place insiders go to track their environmental and energy issues in Congress.
- Early English Books Online (EEBO) This link opens in a new windowEEBO contains page images of virtually every work printed in England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales and British North America and works in English printed elsewhere from 1473-1700. Includes the first book printed in English by William Caxton, and books through the age of Spenser and Shakespeare and the tumult of the English Civil War. - Eighteenth Century Collections Online (ECCO) This link opens in a new windowECCO contains over 180,000 full-text searchable titles (200,000 volumes), and includes books, pamphlets, essays, broadsides and more.
- Environmental Law Reporter (ELR) This link opens in a new windowFind environmental law news and analysis; the ELR Update; laws & regulations; federal, state & international materials; briefs & pleadings.
For subscriber access to the Guidance & Policy Documents section, ask a law librarian for username and password. - Fastcase This link opens in a new windowFastcase provides online access to federal and state primary law, including cases, statutes, regulations, court rules and constitutions. Fastcase is available to the public at a computer terminal in the Library Commons. You may download your results to a flash drive or print them.
Any Oregonian may sign up for free Fastcase access through the State of Oregon Law Library.
