Resources for Self-Represented Litigants: Specialized Legal Databases

Public Access to Specialized Legal Databases

The following databases are available to the public for use on the public computers located in the Library Commons.

Please note: off-campus access is not available for members of the public with the exception of Fastcase. Fastcase is available for free to all Oregonians through the State of Oregon Law Library (SOLL). In addition to Fastcase, SOLL provides free access to Nolo Reference Guides. Registration with the SOLL is necessary for these resources.

Lexis and Westlaw access is available at local public law libraries; in addition, Multnomah Law Library provides access to Bloomberg Law.

New during the pandemic: the Oregon State Bar has provided public access to BarBooks for all library patrons. In order to receive a token, please use the chat with a reference librarian feature during reference hours. Tokens are only good for 30 minutes after issuance.
