It's final exam season, and your Boley Law Library team is here to help. Below are some helpful links to help you get ready for exams. You will find information on Boley Law Library's study rooms, practice exams, study aids, and exam resource guides.
STUDY ROOMS
Sign up for group study rooms using the study room link. Note that you can sign up for 4 hours a day in a study room and up to 14 days before you need it. Don't forget about Wood Hall Conference Room 220 which is a temporary ninth study room during exams. Reserve the room at the usual place; find 220 at the top of the Wood Hall landing.
PAST EXAMS
Use a professor's past exam to prepare for an exam. These past exams are listed by professor and by subject area. Many times sample answers are also available. Make sure to use your @lclark.edu email address to sign in.
CALI is another digital resources that has lessons on main legal subject areas and tests and quizzes to practice what you know. If you haven't yet, go to CALI at https://www.cali.org/, select "Register" at the top right-hand side of the page, and use your @lclark.edu email to sign up for an account. Enter authorization code LEWSCLstu108.
STUDY AIDS
Study aids can help you understand a subject area quickly. Many also have sample test questions and outlines. Boley has print copies of study aids in the atrium of the library (our Understanding series), in the stacks by subject, popular study aids are on reserve behind the circulation desk, and electronic access to the most popular titles is found in the A-Z List (S for study aid).
West Academic Press: 24/7 digital access to quick topic overviews like Nutshells, Gilbert Law Summaries, Exam Pro Practice Questions, Flash Cards, and dozens of other exam prep materials, in-depth hornbooks, audio lectures, and skills-based titles, covering almost every law school subject.
Aspen Learning Library: The Aspen Learning Library likewise offers 24/7 online digital access to over 200 popular law school study aids and added video and audio content to provide an illustration of the legal theory. Collections include Examples & Explanations, Glannon Guides, Emanuel Law Outlines, and more.
Much more about study aids here.
SNACK TIME
Snacks are back! We will be supplying healthy(-ish) snacking opportunities beginning April 17th through the end of exams. Find them in the Boley lobby weekdays at 4pm, weekends at 2pm. You are welcome to eat snacks throughout the library, but please be respectful of people around you and follow our food and drink policy: beverages are permitted in the law library and in the Wood Hall study areas. Snack food that is not sticky, messy, smelly, or noisy can be brought into the law library for consumption, but any meals (including pizza) must be consumed outside the law library.
SAFETY REMINDERS
As always, keep an eye on your laptops, phones, bags, jackets, and other personal belongings. When spending much of your day in the library it is natural at times to leave your belongings on a desk in the library or in the Wood Hall study area or study room.
Studying late and parked elsewhere on campus? If you'd like a ride to your car call Campus Safety and request a lift. 503-768-7777.
