What to Expect at Boleypalooza on Tuesday, August 13th

Esquire, one of our library mascots, has gone missing. We need your observation skills to help us find the playful puppy. To do that we will play a game of real life Clue. You will gather at the library entrance at noon. There you will form teams of 5 to 6 players. You will be handed a packet of clues, detective notes, and a map of the library. Use these notes to solve the mystery of where Esquire is hiding and to piece together the different library staff, library tools, and library spaces. Just like the game of Clue, you will have 6 staff members, 6 objects, and 6 rooms to try to combine based on 6 colors. Look for clues by what the person is wearing, clues around the object, or colors found at locations. Each combination earns a raffle ticket for our Boleypalooza raffle prizes. You will find grocery gift cards, Portland restaurants, coffee, and more in the raffle. If you discover where Esquire is hiding, then you can enter into the drawing for a $100 gift card to the Lewis & Clark Bookstore and save money on your class books! After the game of Clue, we will have lunch from Laughing Planet. Meat, vegetarian, and vegan bowls are available. If you need a gluten free meal, please fill out the form below before Sunday, August 11th. Finally, after lunch we'll meet for about 50 minutes in your legal methods classes to discuss legal research at Boley Law Library. This will give you an opportunity to meet the professors for your Legal Research 1 class, our Research and Instruction team. Evening students will have a similar experience, but we'll begin at 4:30 with a library tour. |
