Finding & Researching Your Paper Topic: Start Here

Guide on finding and researching your paper topic.

Getting Started

Researching a topic is hard enough, but if you don't have a topic selected for your research, the thought of completing your Capstone or WIE may seem impossible. We're here to help!

In this guide, we'll show you how to choose a paper topic, check for preemption, use the best research sources and strategies, keep current in your research, how to track and manage your research, and what to do if you're at a dead end.

As always, contact a reference librarian with your questions.
