Quimbee LogoIf you have used Quimbee in the past for studying for classes and exams and are looking for a replacement, the library has several databases that provide equivalent tools.

Subject Lessons: CALI is a collection of over 1000 video lessons on all of the core subject areas taught in law school. These lessons include popular subject areas like animal law and environmental law. You can search for subject areas using the "Lessons" tab, or for a specific topic, try the "Subject Outlines" under the "Lessons" tab. To register contact a law librarian for the access code. Already subscribed? Go directly to CALI to start.

Test Questions: Several of our current Study Aid resources are based on test questions and model answers. West Academic (or via the A-Z List>'S' Study Aids) has the Acing Series, Exam Pro, and Short and Happy Guides. Aspen Learning Library (or via the A-Z List>'S' Study Aids) has Emmanuel Crunchtime, Examples & Explanations, Friedman's Practice Series, and Glannon Guides. Of course, don't forget the LC Law collection of past exams

Outlines: Just like the above test questions, these same study aid publishers have resources devoted to outlines. West Academic has Black Letter Outlines, Gilbert Law Summaries, and Quick Reviews, while Aspen Learning Library has Emanuel Law Outlines.

Flash Cards: You'll find two digital sets of flashcards on West Academic: Contracts and Torts, and actual (paper) flashcard sets in the Law Library.

Case Briefs: Case briefs are available for review from a number of sources. Lexis has case briefs for most cases out there. Go to Lexis, enter the citation, then next to the case name you'll see a blue box that says "law school case brief." Aspen Learning Library has the series Casenote Legal Briefs, organized by subject area. Jim Kite and Lexie Zirschky delivered a workshop on case brief sources on September 13, 2022. You can watch the recording here.

If you use Quimbee for something else or can't find what you are looking for, please contact a law librarian to discuss the best resource equivalent in our library. We have many study, exam, and class resources for you to try.
