Bills, Oregon House and Senate

House and Senate Floor Proceedings

  • 1999-Present: Online audio and video recordings from the Oregon State Legislature. Click on Archived Meetings on lower right of page
  • 1963-1998: Audio recordings of the floor debates are available (visit or order tapes) via the Oregon State Archives

 Reports

The Oregon Legislature posts reports in two locations:

  • 2007-Present: Oregon Legislative Information. These are reports tied to individual bills (Staff Measure Summaries, Revenue Impact Statements, Fiscal Impact Statements). When available, these reports are linked under each bill's Analysis and Overview tabs. Chose the session tab on the top right for sessions other than the current session.
  • Various Dates: Publications and Reports. The reports are legislation related, such as Summaries of Legislation and reports required by statute

Example: 2001 SB 133

Step 1. To locate the floor proceedings for 2001 SB 133, use the Senate Journal's calendar to identify the final action in each chamber: for the House, June 8 and for the Senate, June 15th.

Step 2. Click on "Expand" on the Media Archive on the Oregon State Legislature website and select the 2001 Regular Session. Scroll down to "House Chamber" and the date (2002-06-08), then click on the Audio link on the far right. Note that there are no Senate recordings for the year 2000.
