Practice Guides

Practice guides are secondary sources geared toward helping a practicing attorney with daily legal research tasks. In this lesson you will learn about Oregon's practice guide, BarBooks, other states' practice guides, how to use one, and how to effectively search in one.

To complete this lesson, listen to the three videos, "Overview of practice guides", "How to find a practice guide online", and "How to search a practice guide", then complete the quiz at the bottom of the page.

Closed captioning is available for each video.
